- More than 3500 fiction books, New Zealand (have a kiwi on the spine) or international quality fiction for teenagers
- More than 4000 knowledge books, organised along the Dewey classification, that covers the college curriculum and teenage related topics
- Nearly 300 Reference Books: Encyclopaedias, yearbooks, thematic encyclopaedias, dictionaries, atlases NOT FOR LOAN
- Nearly 500 Lexile books with online quiz, showing a reading level on the spine
- A collection of picture books and graphic novels, and Breezy reads
- Magazines and Daily Newspapers available for reading in the library
- A range of audiobooks, selected educational videos and DVDs
- 6 computers for OPAC access, and Encarta encyclopedia CD player for individual use

Finding Resources
The online catalogue can tell you what is available in the library, where to find it and whether it is on loan or not.
Type one word first: the author’s surname, a keyword, a word of the title or a genre. If you get too many results, use the keyword search. To view the details about a book from the list, click on Show. Then look for its “Status”. If it is in, check the “Location” (or click on the magnifying glass to see in which section of the library you will find it) and note or remember the “Spine Label”.
When doing a research, think on using the encyclopaedias to get a whole lot of information or refine your keywords.
Borrowing Resources
It is your responsibility to issue your book: Always fill in the borrowing sheet at issue desk or, if you have your student card, ask the librarian for it to be swiped. Books are issued for three weeks. Students can borrow up to four books at a time. If a book is on loan it can be reserved.
Take care of the books: protect from the rain, read with clean hands, use bookmarks (take one at issue desk -free)
Overdue notices are circulated via whanau teachers one week before invoicing. If the books on the overdue slips are not returned or renewed before the mentioned date, they are invoiced to the parents for replacement. A 50 cts non-refundable overdue fee is applied per book. If the book is returned after invoicing, the account is re-credited. The borrower is responsible for any material borrowed in his name and will be expected to pay the replacement cost of lost or damaged books.
